Let's Get Ready to Rumble

Sept 22, 2013

Awe SNAP was this week good!

Okay so most of the beginning of this week was quite slow but as soon as 추석 (Choosuck) Korean Thanksgiving came around the miracles started bumpin'.

So normally for Korean's thanks giving all the Korean folk go to there home town...where they grew up. This thanksgiving is three days long! one day for travel and the day to celebrate and the last day to travel back. So on Choosuck day we as a mission had a giant conference! Super fun! We learned a little about games they play on Choosuck and they taught us how to cook some food.(already know it because I' a cooking fool) Then we went to a big park where there stood a 50 foot pole with a Korean flag on it. In the park there was alot of Koreans and foreigners there. So with a group of 150 missionaries we surrounded that flag and sang the Korean National anthem then we dispersed and made a video with three pictures depicting a story from the Book of Mormon can you guess what it is???

Then after the conference our district was planning on doing a talent with Kazoos (i thought of it), but we had an appointment with our members so we had to bounce and the rest of the district didn't want to do it with out us so...when Christmas comes around you just might see it^^ The appointment with members was super duper fun, They fed us a lot of meat and we talked a ton! They are really really nice to missionaries.

Then the day after was our big "clean the house" day, It was interrupted by a investigator that we met on the street a week back and he called us and set an appointment up and we met him on the street and talked alot about the Book of Mormon and him wanting to change and find a little more faith. We will meet with him again today! I hope everything goes well.
Also we ate at a Meat buffet afterwords with the district. It was elder Roberson's first! He enjoyed it thoroughly...

On Saturday we heart attacked a members house. This member in particular has a husband who is investigating the church right now, but for two week i haven't been able to get a hold of them, so we decided to heart attack. Half way through they came home and the little daughter caught us but we told her not to tell her parents and we hid until they went inside and then we tried to finish but they came out and invited us to go to dinner with them. While at dinner we taught the Word of wisdom to the father and talked alot about the Church and then a chef came out from the back and asked about the Book of Mormon that elder Roberson had by him, Elder Roberson and I explained and tried to offer it to him but he said he had one then he left we thought we were on a roll then after words we committed the Father to make a decision to stop drinking, he will decide soon, he said.  Then after that we bounced over to another members house and on our way there a random old man started talking to us and told us that he met missionaries back when he was 20 and he really really wanted to see them again but he never got the chance. So he was really happy to see us, he got our number and we got his address! We will be visiting him soon.

Then during church, the family we visited the day before (with the father investigator) came to church and we taught him some more about how to pray and more on the church. We were lucky that we had a member there who was willing to help me teach. Afterwords the Father left with some good info in his heart. I hope that he will pray soon. We are really hoping that he will be baptized this next month next time we meet we will set the date! We are praying hard for him.

That was the excellent week of Korean Thanksgiving i hope you all enjoyed reading!
I love you, keep the faith, and may the force be with you.
