DOWN IN FRAGGLE ROCK

Hello Family

This week I have almost too much to write about!

On Tuesday we helped some new member move into their new house, they came from another area in our Zone so it was easy. Mostly we just cleaned up the place....like deep clean. We were there for over 6 hours! Super crazy we had a good time and we felt like we built good relations with the new couple that moved in. One of them is from America she has been here for a long time teaching English and she married a Korean guy and they are a really cute family. After we helped them we had realized we were close to (sort of) a member that we also just found out moved to Korea a while back. So we went over and knocked on the door. Sadly no one answered, so we left. As soon as we left, the member called us and asked if we could come back. So we went back and introduced ourselves. He is a Mexican that moved from America with his wife (nonmember) to Korea to teach English. They were nice, and they straight up told us that they had not been to church since he got baptized, and right now they were going to another Korean church. We told them that we weren't going to drag them to church. We just said we live close by and because they are family we are always here to help. It turns out for the better at the end of the letter just stay tuned!!

On Wednesday we had Zone Training meeting and before the meeting. We met with Brother Yoo for lunch. So while I and Elder Roberson went to lunch with him the Zone went and had lunch someplace else. But while we were having a great lunch someone from the District called and complained saying they couldn't get into their church because they didn't have the keys. We, because we use their church sometimes (on the premise that we don't have a building) had a copy of the key. So we had to cut the Lunch short and get over there as fast as possible! It was kinda of a bummerㅜㅠ

Then on Thursday we got to go to the TEMPLE!!! Sadly in Korea there is no new video, so we still got the old one. But hey, Endowments are Endowments! Super spiritual and really nice to be able to go. While we were there we ran into a grandma from our ward. When we were getting ready to leave to our area she asked if we could go together so we said SURE and we took the hour trip home. We talked with her, and then before we all got off the train she invited us over to her sons house (where she lives) and offered to make us lunch. But first she asked us to help her with shopping. So there we were two big white guys and this tiny little grandma shopping together. Afterword’s we took the bus to her son’s house. On our way there she pulled out some muffins for us to eat and she realized that she had four muffins and there where only three of us. So the sweet little old lady gave one to the bus driver. After the bus ride we went into her home where we were greeted by her daughter in-law and her grandson (who is only 2 years old). The Daughter strait away made us food and we sat a played with the little kid and talked with the Grandma. Afterword’s we all sat down and at and had a really delicious cold noodles! Then we did the dishes and played with the little one. They mom was really happy to have some rest time while we did the chores. Afterword’s we went shopping for some crackers (a member gave us some legit cheese from Costco but we didn't have any crackers!!!! Can you believe it???)  While we were shopping for crackers a lady came up to us and in English asked where we were from. I said America and she got so happy! She had been trying to find Americans for a whole month, she too is from America and came here with her husband for his work. She was super happy to meet us and she was really shocked when we told her that we were Mormons. She had no idea who we where she just herd stories. But she said we couldn't be Mormons we seemed way too normal. But even through that whole conversation we got her number and she got ours. Awesome miracle!

On Friday we had a big service project lined up. With our entire Zone! It was going to be so cool. We were going to be ball boys at a national ping pong championship for the handicap. We all showed up and they gave us green vests and then told us to sit on the bleachers. We sat for an hour then the people in charge came and told us we could not where our name tags over the vests. We replied with the "We serve as missionaries" kinda way. And they wouldn't have it, and told us we could not help them. So we shot some pictures and left. Afterword’s I had English class; It was super fun I taught my entire class "JohnJacobJingleHiemerShmit" They really loved it and we sang it a ton!

On Sunday (the most important day) it was ward conference! So all the big shots where there. And I was just so lucky enough that the foreigner whom we met while shopping (her name is Annabel).  She popped into my head on Saturday night and I decided to call her. She told me "I think I need to go to church". So her husband gave us a ride to church and we had crazy good time. We taught her part of the first lesson and she seemed to be taking it. We figured we need to teach slower for her to understand. But she really liked church. Elder Roberson and I sang with the choir and the first councilor of the stake presidency made everyone in the congregation look and me and then he called me a "Amazing Missionary"...I was shocked too!! Then after church our ward had a giant luncheon. AMAZING! We found a ride for Annabel and made sure she could get home. Then we took the bus home. After that we went and visited our in-active who just got back from travailing. We looked at his cool stuff he bought there and his pictures and Elder Roberson introduced himself and we had a great time! Towards the end of the meeting it got late so Elder Roberson shared a message and we left. On our way home (we were late) I heard a "HEY" from behind me. I spinned around just in time to see Brother Idilio dispersing around the corner on his bike. I almost booked it around the corner but he and his wife came back and they started to talk with us and kinda invited us to their house. We will go eat with them sometime this week.

But yeah that was our week have fun reading!
I love you all keep the faith and may the force be with you
