Well another thanksgiving down and another crazy week.^^
This week was crazy packed with appointments and or little blessings that where needed here and there.
To start us off, we had Zone conference! Amazing! With prez.Morrise
every meeting is more than what is expected. He realizes that with
missionary work there needs to be humour and happiness instead of "you
all failed the Lord. Do better" which i have herd tons of those meetings
before...(not from him). So i am really grateful that he has a more
cheerful disposition about missionary work. Then after Zone conference
we went to our church and found one of our American members their
cleaning the church by herself. So we helped her out, by cleaning some
things up and straitening other things. Afterwords she gave us some
amazing chicken (Philippine made) and we sat back in the church and
munched on it while watching some more of the churches videos that they
don't ever want anyone to see^^ I want to copy them all and take em
home^^.
So we had an interesting experience with ZZ top this week...We have
a guy that prints our pictures out for us for cheap at his shop. Also
at his shop he has a enormous amp with a Gibson attached to it. He
speaks perfect English and he ends everything in "Man". Think of him
more as a hippie^^ but we flattered him a little bit and he brought out
his guitar and play "Sharp dressed man" for us. He even sang it too^^
His computer had a program that played the other music in the background
so we had a whole song in this little print shop. It was a near home
experience for me- kinda reminded me of the places i would go with dad^^
and even reminded me a little bit of him. Dad, i found the Korean you.
Then to the Thanksgiving!! We where blessed that there where
American saints in Korea. that really wanted to help missionaries. There
wasn't a single missionary in our mission that didn't get fed. We went
over to the Spelein's. Brother Spelein's first name is Bo...So we bonded
quick. They invited three non-members and two other over and we had a
fantastic meal with them. Actually thought that experience we might have
picked up a investigator^^ We will have to see. He said he was coming
to family night to night. He was very humble and he gave me more of a
meaning to my work here in Korea. I hope we can help him come closer to
Christ.^^
We actually had two thanksgivings this week surprisingly^^ We have
some Korean members The Jo's, that live behind us in different
apartment buildings and they invited us over for thanksgiving. The
Jo's live in America for 40ish years. They are more American then i am^^
we where able to have more thanksgiving food and share the precious
moment together. They are so much like my family in Korea they have
taken care of us so so so much. And they love having us over so that my
companion can teach to them and enhance his Korean.^^
As of investigators we got 5 referrals because of Thanksgiving and
we are trying to get a hold of all of them^^ While doing that we ran
into a little ol' Grampa that has been meeting off and on with
missionaries for 25 years!!! So we are going to give it a shot and see
if he is ready for the Gospel^^
This Saturday
we where able to see a baptism for a members daughter Daysie. She was
beaming so bright and had the cutest white dress on. I had a moment to
talk with her, and let her know that she was doing an amazing thing. Her
little brother was so proud of her and her parents couldn't have had a
bigger smile on their faces. The amount of spirit, love and fellowship
in the chapel was overwhelming. It made me think of my baptism (how much
i could remember) and i remember just a couple of vague memories and it
made me feel better about the choices that i had made at her age.
Well that was the highlights to this week i hope you all have a great week i love you all so much^^
keep the faith and may the force be with you^^
